Meet Austin and Taylor

Austin and Taylor Rohr established Rolling Horns Ranch in 2015 and are based out of Tyler, TX. As newlyweds and starting a family we decided raising our kids in the city was not the right choice so we bought a small ranch outside of Tyler TX. We started with 10 black Angus and two Longhorns, but every day the black Angus were still black and they didn’t change. Our two longhorns on the other hand were growing horns like crazy and their colors were changing throughout the year. It was a very easy decision to change our operation to all Registered Texas Longhorns for the love and beauty of the animal. They each have a story and become part of the family, especially to our kids. Our daughter can name each Longhorn out there and can give you details on their breed while our son is ready to throw on his boots anytime of the day to go feed and water.

We have met so many new people and lifetime friends through the association and that's just another bonus! The Asbill's at 585 Ranch have been great friends for over 15 years and have spent countless hours helping establish our herd. The Asbill's at 585 Ranch sold us our first two Longhorns and took us to our first sale. We are greatly appreciative of their help and their dedication to the breed. We have also relied on the extent knowledge of Mr. Dale Hunt when it comes to picking out our top foundation cows. We love traveling to the sales not only to see and meet new and old friends but to see and admire some beautiful Longhorns up close. We are always looking to purchase new cattle at sales or private treaty to increase our herds genetics. After getting the Longhorns home and settled in we enjoy sharing them with our friends and family. Inviting them out to tour the ranch and let them meet each of the Longhorns themselves. It been a pleasure to have guest we don't know call and just want to come and admire our Longhorns or take pictures.

The Rohr's look forward to growing their ranch and increasing their genetics while teaching their kids and other prospects about the breed.
